Encounter Groups are our small groups here at Lakeside.  We participate in small groups on Sunday evenings and throughout the week.  Small groups are organized for a three month period three times a year (we do not meet in small groups during the summer months).
Our groups meet to grow our faith, to increase our fellowship, and to add souls to the body of Christ.  Groups meet that are intended to help our physical bodies grow healthier.  Groups are meant to increase our spirituality.  Groups meet that grow us in our Biblical knowledge.  Groups are open to visitors and have the intended desire to bring growth to the body and to the church at Lakeside.
Members of Lakeside are asked to sign up with a group (or two if they choose) and commit to attending that group during the course of its meeting.  Encounter Groups are led by members who teach, facilitate, and open their homes to these encounters.

     Women’s Bible Study Group - once a month, First meeting is Sept. 21st from 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM at Danielle Ellis home.

A. W. Tozier wrote a thought provoking book in 1946 entitled the Pursuit of God.  In this books he discussed our need to seek a deeper spirituality in our understanding and knowing of God.  Tozier discusses much about the nature of God and his revealing himself to man.
Paul Cain will be discussing this great little book on Sunday mornings in Room 6.  The class is open to all adults who want to share in this class and this discussion.  The class starts at 9:30 AM.  The class is during the Fall Quarter, Sept. thru Nov.  Be there on time and you will enjoy seeing and understand more clearly our need for God and who God is.
Invite a friend with you and you will both find out that sometimes we are given more to a religious practice and tradition rather than to a God in heaven who has revealed himself to us through his incarnate son.
