40 Days of Prayer
Day 1 - Sunday, June 6th – Take time to pray today that God be glorified in all the people, work, and ministries of the Lakeside church of Christ. Pray for a future that seeks only to glorify God and bring honor to Him.
Day 2 - Monday, June 7th – Today, pray for the unity of Lakeside. Pray that we be united as one through His Holy Spirit; one in purpose, mind, and heart.
Day 3 - Tuesday, June 8th – Take time today to pray for wisdom for our current and future leadership here at Lakeside.
Day 4 - Wednesday, June 9th – Today, pray that we remember what it felt like before we believed, before we had the hope of Christ, so that we might be sympathetic to others.
Day 5 - Thursday, June 10th – Take time to pray for opportunities to serve the city of Mansfield.
Day 6 - Friday, June 11th – Take the time, today, to pray for hearts that are willing to serve the city of Mansfield.
Day 7 - Saturday, June 12th – Take the time to pray for courage to step out of our comfort zones as a body of believers for the greater good of building God’s Kingdom.
Day 8 - Sunday, June 13th – Take the time to pray today, that our Vacation Bible School impacts the lives of children as they walk with Jesus this week in VBS.
Day 9 - Monday, June 14th – Take time to pray that as individuals we will be Jesus to everyone we encounter.
Day 10 - Tuesday, June 15th – Today, take the time to pray that Lakeside and its member can have a great involvement in our community.
Day 11 - Wednesday, June 16th – Today, pray that we as a church become more welcoming of the unchurched and the church outcast.
Day 12 - Thursday, June 17th – Today, pray that we all have a greater commitment to teaching the lost and helping the hurting who are all around us.
Day 13 - Friday, June 18th – Take the time to pray that Lakeside be dedicated to our children and to their Biblical and spiritual learning.
Day 14 - Saturday, June 19th – Take the time to pray for our Little Heart School, the staff, and the many children they can and will influence through Little Heart’s ministry.
Day 15 - Sunday, June 20th – Take time today and pray that we as God’s people be faithful in our financial responsibilities and in our hope to give God even more of our money and lives.
Day 16 - Monday, June 21st – Take the time to pray that all Lakeside learns how to lead others to Christ through example, love, and teaching the gospel story.
Day 17 - Tuesday, June 22nd – Take the time to pray that our young boys learn to be leaders in the church and our young ladies to become the wife of an elder, minister or deacon.
Day 18 - Wednesday, June 23rd – Take the time today to pray for all the married couples at Lakeside to have marriages centered in Christ.
Day 19 - Thursday, June 24th – Pray, today, for opportunities to share and teach the gospel with others. Pray by name for five people you know that need to know the saving gospel story of Christ Jesus.
Day 20 - Friday, June 25th - Today, pray that we learn better how to pray, what to pray for and who to pray for.
Day 21 - Saturday, June 26th – Take the time to pray for world leaders and the opportunity for peace in order that the spread the gospel be not hindered.
Day 22 - Sunday, June 27th – Today, pray a prayer of thanksgiving to God for all he does for us, for sending his son, for his grace, love, etc. Just thank Him for loving and forgiving us and wanting the best for us.
Day 23 – Monday, June 28th – Take the time and pray for humility in learning to put others before ourselves.
Day 24 – Tuesday, June 29th – Take the time and pray for strength powerful enough to stop Satan from entering into this church or into an individual in this church.
Day 25 – Wednesday, June 30th – Today, pray to give back to God in many different ways; time, love, friendships, service, and giving from the heart.
Day 26 – Thursday, July 1st – Take the time and pray that God removes all the selfishness in each of us.
Day 27 – Friday, July 2nd – Pray today, for all the families of Lakeside to be blessed with the many spiritual blessings God would provide.
Day 28 – Saturday, July 3rd – Today, pray that our numbers at Lakeside would increase as the spiritual health of each member increases.
Day 29 – Sunday, July 4th – Take the time and pray for opportunities of mission work for Lakeside to begin to help support financially and prayerfully.
Day 30 – Monday, July 5th - Take time today to focus your prayers for the administrators, teachers, staff, students, and families represented at the following Elementary Schools: Charlotte Anderson, J.L. Boren, Janet Brockett, Willie E. Brown, Louise Cabaniss, Anna May Daulton, Kenneth Davis, Imogene Gideon, Glenn Harmon, Carol Holt, Thelma Jones, D.P. Morris, Erma Nash, Alice Ponder, Annette Perry, Martha Reid, Tarver Rendon, Mary Jo Sheppard, Cora Spencer, Elizabeth Smith, and Roberta Tipps.
Day 31 – Tuesday, July 6th - Take time today to focus your prayers for the administrators, teachers, staff, students, and families represented at the following Intermediate Schools: Cross Timbers, Donna Shepard, Della Icenhower, Mary Lillard, Asa E. Low Jr., and Mary Orr.
Day 32 – Wednesday, July 7th - Take time today to focus your prayers for the administrators, teachers, staff, students, and families represented at the following Middle Schools: Brooks Wester, James Coble, Linda Jobe, Danny Jones, Rogene Worley, and T.A. Howard.
Day 33 – Thursday, July 8th - Take time today to focus your prayers for the administrators, teachers, staff, students, and families represented at the following High Schools: Mansfield, Mansfield Legacy, Mansfield Summit, Mansfield Timberview, Mansfield Frontier (2010), and Ben Barber Career Tech Academy.
Day 34 – Friday, July 9th - Take time today to pray for the all the firefighters, police officers, and public safety officers in the city of Mansfield.
Day 35 – Saturday, July 10th - Take time today to focus your prayers on the city officials (Mayor Cook, the City Council, Elected officials, etc.) in the City of Mansfield.
Day 36 – Sunday, July 11th - Take time today to focus your prayers on all the families that will be moving into the city of Mansfield over the summer.
Day 37 – Monday, July 12th – Today, pray for those who a looking for jobs in this struggling economy and pray that we learn to put our trust in God for the important matters of our lives.
Day 38 – Tuesday, July 13th – Take the time today and pray for our nation and the leaders of our nation and in your prayer thank God for this great nation we have in which we may live.
Day 39 – Wednesday, July 14th – Today, pray for the Mansfield church of Christ and the coming of a new Senior Minister to work with that church.
Day 40 – Thursday, July 15th – Close these 40 Days of Prayer by praying a prayer of thanksgiving to God for hearing and answering our prayers as He is always open to hear our hearts.
